ASWPP – Associate of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers

I am delighted and thrilled to have been told by the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers that I am now an ‘Associate’ member.

What does this mean and how did I achieve it? Well for the Associateship of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (ASWPP), applicants must present evidence of excellence in the techniques and creative interpretation of wedding or portrait photography. I submitted the above panel of 20 portraits images which were then judged by four Fellows looking for

  • Technical aspects.
  • Creativity.
  • Impact.
  • Composition and Posing.
  • Style.
  • Lighting.
  • Mood.

Achieving this in my relatively short wedding and portrait photography career is very important to me and I am immensely proud. Associateships are not given out easily and I think less than 20% of SWPP members hold the position.

However, I couldn't do it without you, whom give me the oppurtunity to photograph you. There are more challenges in 2014 and behind!
